It Comes Down to Taking Action and a Positive Attitude

“Two things define us. Our patience when we have nothing and our attitude when we have everything.” - Unknown

I’m a little torn on this quote.

Normally I wouldn’t post an inspirational quote if I’m torn on it, but I want to speak about why I’m torn.

It’s hard to be patient when we have nothing or when we feel like we’re at our lowest.

I get it because I was there for so many years.

However, you cannot be patient when you have nothing if you’re not taking actions to change your current situation.

That’s right, you must be doing something to change your current situation otherwise patience isn’t going to do anything for you.

If you’re frustrated because nothing’s happening, then take inventory of what you’re doing about it.

If you’re constantly choosing comfort over discomfort, choosing to forgo putting in the work required to grow, then patience isn’t going to do sh*t for you.

On the flip side, if you’ve worked for something and you finally get it, don’t take it for granted.

Continue to be grateful for where you’re at and don’t lose that desire to learn and grow.

Our attitude can change significantly when we feel we have everything.

You can have everything one day and have nothing the next day.

There are no guarantees in life.

The best thing you can do for yourself is continue to show up and put in the work required to get a little better every day and have a positive attitude about it.

It’s a New Year, but that doesn’t mean sh*t if you keep doing the same things.

Start making lasting change today by taking action and being patient with the results.

Stay positive and take action!
