Mid-Week Motivation + Exercise

Survivor to Thriver Coaching, LLC

If you don’t think you’re in a battle every day to become the person you want to become, then you’re already at a disadvantage.

Your trauma identity is not just going to give up and let you change and heal.

It’s going to continue to do what it must to protect you.

This protection is great when it’s needed, but when it’s not, it’s going to keep you stuck in survival mode.

It’s not going to be easy.

What did you wake up thinking this morning?

That’s setting the tone for the rest of your day.

Winning the morning as soon as you wake up is crucial to healing and personal growth.

If you want something different, then you’re going to have to do something different.

I don’t care what it takes, if you have to put a note next to your phone in the morning that reminds you to think positive thoughts when you wake up, then do it.

If you have to say “I’ve got this to yourself” every minute of the day, then do it.

You’ve got more, you’ve always got more, you just have to dig for it.

You’re in a fight, a war, and you must act like it.

You’ve got this!

Exercise: Come Up with a Phrase

Come up with a phrase that you can go to when you’re struggling to stay positive or motivated. Something simple. Something that’s going to snap you out of it.

My phrase was HEF. Whenever I was feeling down, defeated, or feeling like I had nothing left in the tank, I would say HEF to myself.

HEF stands for Happy, Energetic, and Focused. This was my reminder and snapped me out of it.

Stay positive and take action!
