It’s the middle of the week, that strange in between point where Monday’s intentions have either taken hold or already slipped, and the weekend hasn’t shown up yet.
This is exactly the moment most of us skip. We push through. We tell ourselves we’ll “deal with it later,” or that reflecting is something we’ll get to once things calm down.
But here’s the thing: consistency isn’t built in the calm moments. It’s built in the middle of the mess, when you pause anyway.
Reflection isn’t about judging how the week is going. It’s about noticing, gently, honestly, so you can make small adjustments before Friday arrives and the week is already decided for you.
You don’t need an hour. You don’t need the perfect journal. You just need a few honest minutes and a willingness to look.
This Week’s Reflection Questions
Take a breath before you answer these. There’s no right response, just an honest one.
On energy and capacity:
Where has my energy gone this week, and was that where I wanted it to go?
What’s draining me right now that I haven’t named out loud yet?
On alignment:
What’s one moment this week that felt like me, aligned, grounded, true?
What’s one moment that felt like I was performing or pushing rather than living?
On the body:
How is my nervous system doing right now, calm, wired, shut down, somewhere in between?
What has my body been trying to tell me that I’ve been too busy to hear?
On adjustment:
If I could change one things about how the rest of the this week goes, what would it be?
What’s one small, doable ting I can do today, not next week, to move toward that?
A Thought to Sit With
You don’t have to overhaul your life every Wednesday. You just have to notice. Noticing is what makes a small adjustment possible before a small thing becomes a big thing.
This is the quiet, unglamorous work of consistency, not dramatic transformation, just showing up to check in with yourself, again and again, even when it’s easier not to.
That’s enough. That is the practice.
Before you go, pick just one question above. Sit with it for two minutes. That’s the whole assignment this week.
