Find Your Strength
“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’ You must do the thinkg you think you cannot do.” - Eleanor Roosevelt
I didn’t gain true strength, courage, and confidence until I stopped, turned around, and addressed my past of sexual abuse.
I stopped running from it.
I could never run from it; it would always catch up to me and remind me that it was there.
It would taunt me.
I knew it could catch me when it wanted to, but I would pretend like it couldn’t until it did.
We are much, much stronger than we think.
We get so much stronger when we confront our past no matter how painful it is.
Your past is a part of you whether you like it or not.
I know it’s painful and I know it’s scary, but it’s a part of you.
You are strong enough to address it and become a stronger person because of it.
It changed my life, and I know it will change yours.
Stop running and start fighting!
Stay positive and take action!
