Mindset Training

You Have Opportunities to Train Your Mindset Every Day

We have the best mindset training around us every day, it’s called life.

Think about the things that happen to you on a daily basis that cause you stress, anger, anxiety, sadness, irritation, or any other emotion that throws you off from being able to stay focused.

How do you handle being stuck in traffic?

How do you handle being stuck in traffic when you’re hungry (this is a good one)?

How do you handle having to do the dishes every day? Vacuuming the house? Doing laundry?

These are all opportunities for us to strengthen our mindset.

Stop looking at these things as a nuance, or things that ruin your day, and start looking at them as opportunities to change your mindset and your attitude.

If you really want to change your mindset then you’re going to have to be intentional about it.

I used to say that I didn’t like who I was, how I acted, or being negative all the time, but I continued to make excuses and stay that way.

All of the reasons you can come up with that prevent you from making change, and I’m sure you have some really good ones, are excuses.

They are going to keep you stuck, prevent you from growing, and stop you from becoming the person you want to become.

I was sexually abused when I was 15.

I’m sure everyone of you reading this would agree that being sexually abused is a valid reason for being depressed, angry, have suicidal thoughts, negative, and so on and so on.

However, it’s an excuse and until you accept that, you are never going to change.

I was using my past as an excuse to stay where I was at, to play the victim, and when I accepted that, I was able to start making change.

We can use our past experiences to make ourselves strong individuals.

However, you have to start thinking about things differently.

Stop feeling sorry for yourself and using your past as an excuse.

Start taking all of those little things that irritate you every day and using them to strengthen your mind.

If you start doing this and drop the list of excuses as to why you can’t change or be the person you dream of becoming, you will start to change.

If you do this consistently, you’ll change so much that you won’t even recognize the person you used to be.

It’s empowering and you won’t want to go back to the person you used to be.

The goal in life is to make the uncomfortable comfortable.

That’s the bottom line.

We want to take action every day that helps us grow.

We want to stare down fear and act despite it.

I encourage you to make a list of things today that piss you off, irritate you, make you angry, and cause you to get all kinds of frustrated.

The first step is bringing awareness to them.

Now, I want you to pick one or two of those things and try to deal with them differently when they come up.

Take a deep breath and put it into perspective.

Don’t just follow your first reaction.

Stay in control.

Do this for a week or two with these one or two things.

Start adding more over time and watch how you transform.

You got this!

Stay positive and take action!
