The Thriver Identity

When we’re trying to heal from trauma, or trying to change our lives, we cannot keep our current identity.

When it comes to trying to heal from trauma, I call this the Survivor (trauma) Identity.

The Survivor Identity is stuck in survival mode which means we’re stressed and stuck in our negative emotions.

We must change our identity into a Thriver Identity.

In order to do this, we must identify what that looks like, feels like, and sounds like.

Here’s some questions to help you start developing your Thriver Identity.

1) Who do you truly want to be, and what qualities define that version of yourself?

2) What beliefs about yourself do you need to let go of to step into your ideal identity?

3) How do you currently see yourself, and how does that differ from how you want to be?

4) What habits and behaviors align with the identity you want to build?

5) What kind of mindset does your ideal self have, and how can you cultivate it daily?

Once you get done answering these questions, close your eyes and visualize becoming this person.

Do this often.

Really feel what it feels like and looks like to be this new person.

Stay positive and take action!
