Consistency

If we want to improve and get good at something in life, it’s going to require consistency.

You’re going to have to show up every day and put in the work that’s required to get good at what you’re doing.

Most of the time, it’s not going to be on tasks that you enjoy doing.

It’s going to be boring, mundane tasks that must get done if you want to get better or grow in that particular area.

If you stay consistent, it’s amazing what happens.

You start seeing results.

You may not see big results immediately, but you’ll start noticing small things that are starting to happen.

Those small results will start adding up fast if you stick with it.

This goes for anything in life especially when it comes to healing from trauma.

Healing from trauma is not going to be easy and it’s going to take consistent effort.

You’re trying to break years of behaviors that were put in place to protect you that you don’t need anymore.

Consistency is going to be your best friend during your healing journey.

Here’s some reflection questions about consistency this week:

1) What does consistency mean to you, and why is it important in your life?

2) In which areas of your life are you most consistent, and how has that impacted you in a positive or negative way?

3) When have you struggle with maintaining consistency, and what were the challenges you faced?

4) How do you stay motivated to remain consistent even when progress seems slow, or obstacles arise?

5) What is one area of your life where you want to increase consistency, and what small steps can you take to start?

Stay positive and take action!
