Saturday Self-Study: Intention

Survivor to Thriver Coaching, LLC

You must be intentional.

That’s the message, you must be intentional.

This may seem obvious to you, but it didn’t register with me for many years.

I was not being intentional with my healing.

This means you can’t just show up each day and expect things to happen for you.

This means that you cannot just do the things you want to do or stay comfortable and expect things to change for you.

If you’re not where you want to be right now, then you’re going to have to be intentional about getting to where you want to go.

That’s it, period.

Identify where you’re at now, know where you want to go, and start creating a plan on how you’re going to get there.

It’s not going to be perfect, that’s not the point, it’s about taking that next step with intention; no matter how hard it is or how uncomfortable it feels.

This is how you’re going to start becoming the best version of yourself.

This is how you’re going to heal, change, grow, become better than you were yesterday.

Here are some reflection questions for you to help you become more intentional in your life:

1) What does “being intentional” mean to you right now?

2) What areas of your life feel like they are running on autopilot?

3) Where are you spending time and energy that doesn’t align with your values?

4) What matters most to you, are you living in alignment with that?

5) What is one thing you want to be more intentional about this week?

You are going to have to be intentional about it.

Stay positive and take action!
